The Black Army welcome back many of last weeks absentees to the starting line up that will face Leicester Forest. Bradley, Cann and Whittaker will bring speed and experience back to the Ks' backs, while the forwards element remains relatively unchanged apart from Sheardown re-joining the ranks.
Leicester Forest play in Midlands 2 East (South) - a parallel division to the one Kesteven RFC were promoted to for this season, and so far they have narrowly defeated Rushden & Higham in their first league game but lost fairly comprehensively to Dunstablians last weekend. This places Forest, who play in blue, 8th in their league after 2 matches.
Kesteven will be looking to get back to winning ways after last weeks narrow defeat at Nottingham Casuals in the league. The weather looks to be fairly mild once again with sunny spells setting the perfect scene at Woodnook for an afternoon of entertainment for all the family!
Captain Tom Webster said "We have to bounce back this week and we have a good number of last weeks absent players available for this Saturdays match. We will need to settle fast, play our game and up our physicality"
The winner of this Saturdays match will face the winner from Earlsdon
vs Rushden & Higham later this year.
The Kesteven 3rd XV are also at home this weekend to Lincoln Loughborough 4ths.
