After three consecutive weeks of cancellations due to awful weather, you'd think our 9/10 year olds could be excused for forgetting how to play. Not our mini warriors! They came blazing off the starting line with every bit as much enthusiasm, energy and grit as they have always had, if not more. K's U10s fielded 2 equal teams, each played 4 matches against Oundle, Stamford, St Ives, Peterborough and Peterborough Lions. Both teams played their hearts out with phase after phase of controlled rucking producing some thrilling tries. K's ability to create a driving maul took opponents by surprise on several occasions, showing how devastating this mode of attack can be, even with only 2 players per side at this age group! Taken as a whole, this performance bodes very well for the future in terms of depth and breadth of ability across the squad.
And again, our kids did us proud in their behaviour, with comments from opposition parents and coaches on their Sportsmanship and Respect on the pitch. Bravo all!
