On a beautiful sunny but cold winter morning, K's U12s produced the finest performance of their young rugby careers to date. Led by captain Thomas Arkley, the boys played their socks off against very competent sides from Boston and Spalding. Every player deserves a mention but Jonty Ward at scrum half and George Austen at fly worked brilliantly together, feeding their backs out of well-worked rucks, and some excellent tactical kicking to provide multiple try-opportunities. For example, a particularly fine offload by Austen gave Harry Handley room to sidestep the Boston defence and ping the ball to George Davis coming at pace down the right wing to score in the corner - magic! Both opposition teams gave as good as they got and we still need to work on our tackle technique, but our boys put in some good ones too! Great to see the support and teamwork developing, especially at the ruck. Well done lads!
